INDEPENDENT THEATER WITH NERVE

Meet PAUL, an artists’ collaborative with the goal of developing and producing new dramatic works from bold, distinctive theatrical voices, and cultivating artistic community from the ground up. Utilizing a variety of venues and performance spaces – from traditional proscenium theaters to living rooms and porches – PAUL provides a platform for plays whose vibrancy and vision are unmistakable. We hold up vivid narrative, unforgettable characters, and dynamic creative choices as the keys to a thriving, thoughtful independent theater landscape - and we put our hearts and shoulders behind works that entertain first and ask questions later.

THE PEOPLE BEHIND THE GOATS

Caitlyn Marr is a New-York based director and actor from Miami, Florida. She has acted in various Off-Broadway and regional productions, including PTP/NYC, Zoetic Stage, and the Chain Theatre. Her directorial work has been seen at various Chain Theatre Festivals.

Caitlyn has always been happiest in a rehearsal room. She thrives in spaces where artists feel empowered to take risks and express their vulnerabilities. In independent theater, there is no set playbook, allowing for a world of exciting possibilities born from the creative collaboration and dynamic energy of the artists involved.

Lana Meyer, Co-Artistic Director

Lana Meyer is a playwright originally from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Her work, including works written under her pseudonym Leon Lone, has been presented at the Chain Theatre, PTP/NYC: After Dark, Pittsburgh City Theatre, and the 3rd Street Gallery. Lana is the founder of The Dovecote, a salon and reading series for new dramatic works.
Lana is passionate about the confluence of artistic excellence and creative abandon. She believes that independent theater, as one of the art form's most accessible categories, has a unique responsibility (and a special capability) to intrigue, bewilder, entertain, and energize. She loves the cheap seats.
